There's an important lesson for the New Testament church to learn from Israel's flawed desire, and failed appointment, of its kings. Man prefers to follow man, than follow God. In saying so, C2C is not anti-leadership, but it is anti-institutional. It is not anti-gifting, but it is anti-anointing. In a nut-shell, C2C and it's visionary, are not trying to lead men in place of God, they're helping men find their place as God's leaders.

Sean is a 40 year old South African living on a farm 30km south of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is married to Dannean, his faithful and funny (hilarious) wife, and have 3 beautiful young children, Tristan (10), Connor (8) and Izzy (5). Sean has been saved / born again for 15 years, and made a living as a business mentor, coach and advisor for the past 10 years, having graduated university with an accounting degree and economics honours.

His experience in the church has been that of being raised a Catholic, saved and added to an Assemblies of God church (3 years), moved on to a reformed / charismatic church (8 years), a member of a reformed / charismatically conservative, baptist church plant (3 years), and most recently founder of C2C. His Ephesians 4 gift to the church is apostolic and prophetic, and Holy Spirit gifts are that of mercy, leadership and faith.

He possess no formal theological degree or training, and instead has immersed himself in a layman’s study and application of scripture, majoring in the ‘school & life’ of discipleship. It is through this process that the elements of men's discipleship, and related tools, teachings, values, and ministries, have come to constitute the heartbeat of Called 2 Conquer.

Sean's greatest earthly hope, is that many men in his generation, and however many more generations the Lord wills to follow, will live out their faith in Jesus, in a manner worthy of his Lordship and Kingship, through the operation and influence of hundreds, even thousands, of discipleship communities.
