- CALLED 2 CONQUER... ISN'T IT ALL A BIT MACHO?
Perhaps a bit, but then again, we didn't come up with it - Jesus did. The real problem, is actually that our current worldview (in and out the church) doesn't make much allowance for heaven and hell, angels and demons, etc. Being called and chosen / choosing to conquer, only makes sense if you believe there's a vicious battle being fought for your soul, and the souls of all those around you!
We believe the bible is God's inspired word to humanity. Of course there's a lot in there, and a lot of room for different interpretations. In this regard, Wayne Grudem's Bible Doctrine (the layman's version of his book Systematic Theology) is pretty much our doctrinal plumb line. Here's an overview if you're interested - http://bibledoctrine.misterrichardson.com/bibledocnotes.html
Not in the traditional sense (bricks & mortar + Sunday service). However if empowering, training and making disciples is our core business (which it is), then we must be Jesus' body! (the Church).
Completing the C2C Assessment or coming on a conquest camp, in no way requires any move away or disassociation with, your existing church membership or commitments. Instead, C2C exists to equip / resource as a disciple of Christ you in a way your local church probably doesn't.
Frankly, men are the problem in just about everything. It therefore goes without saying, that they are also the solution to just about every problem - many of which have woman at the receiving end. You might therefore indirectly say, that fixing men = serving woman.
Jesus. Honestly? Jesus. Seriously? Jesus
C2C was established based on a vision for a redefinition of church (as we currently know it), one more in line with its PURPOSE, than its position, practices or place. That is to say, if we're not actively and intentionally engaged in BEING DISCIPLED AND MAKING DISCIPLES, it doesn't really matter what our position, practices or place are.
C2C was established in 2018
The C2C assessment is central to equipping and empowering any serious disciple of Christ. The associated report or what is referred to as our 'discipleship blueprints', provides a powerful and easy to understand framework, for building your spiritual home. In this regard, the strength / maturity of each of the 10 elements is assessed, in combination with some recommended next steps (and associated resources).
If the small group is comprised of only men, yes. If not, no. The short reason for this, is the same reason Angus Buchan only held mighty men's conferences. Isolated and unaccountable men are a danger to themselves and society. Cared for, vulnerable and honest men, are God's gift to the family and broader society. Get the men right, everything else comes right!
Because camping in God's creation (bush), with God's creation (men), releases something of God in us (manliness). We come alive to hearing and receiving from Him. We find permission to be ourselves, and make ourselves known. In this context, the Word of God (Jesus) through the Spirit or God, is more freely able to divide soul from spirit in our lives. This empowering men to take account of our lives (and actually do something with it), before we give an account for our lives (when we are dead in the body) - Hebrews 4:12
3 key ingredients need to be present for this to take place;
